That’s a
statement you’ll often see from the Rohi Foundation campaign, and I’m
frequently asked how we make such an incredible return on each rupees.
The answer may
surprise you.
We don’t get a
bulk discount on food, as most folks guess. In fact, we don’t even buy food.
Instead, our approach is all about finding sustainable, permanent solutions to
ending childhood hunger in India.
We work with
communities across the country to improve and expand existing programs that
feed kids school breakfast, after school suppers and snacks, and summer meals
to ensure all kids have access to three healthy meals a day.
Sometimes our
work is complex and there are large barriers, like state laws that mandate the
time of day breakfast is served at schools. But sometimes the problem is as
simple as schools not having carts to carry meals through the halls to kids.
That’s
where you come in.
When we carefully invest money
in these programs, they can reach a lot more kids. And our strategic
investments come with constant evaluation to ensure we’re maximizing these
gifts.
We've made
enormous progress, thanks to the support of donors just like you. Together,
money by money and meal by meal, we're ending childhood hunger in this country
for good.
What could be a
better investment like feeding a needy people.
